Centurion CEN025 description
The cast iron pinion is the output gear that meshes with the gate rack on D5 and D10 motors, transferring every newton of drive into gate movement. Cast iron takes the rack's grit and impact far better than lighter materials, but misaligned racks still wear it hollow over years. A worn pinion chews new rack, so replacing both together is the professional practice.
